A new website to discover what goes on behind the scenes in research. But that’s not all…
Welcome !
If you’re interested in marine sciences and want to discover (or rediscover) Océanolab, you’re in the right place.
This brand-new website will follow the research projects in residence at Océanolab through articles and insights into current scientific news.
This website offers resource pages covering the core values of the Océanolab program, presentation pages for the research projects hosted annually within Océanopolis, and news that will cover day-to-day progresses of in-residence research and updates on scientific advances and discoveries.
Why is this site called Océanolab?
Océanolab is both a program and a place. The mission of this program is simple: “Open up science to the general public” by showcasing real research “as it happens” through the residency of a research team in a space open to visitors. No staging, no fakery—just a unique environment where anyone can step into the world of a real laboratory.
Building on the visit to the Océanolab space—where discovering equipment, research topics, and methods goes hand in hand with meeting scientists—this website will offer a way to follow these projects over time and from a distance. It also allows continued interaction with the scientists thanks to a dedicated communication channel.
